SIZES
Custom Fit to YOU: Simply enter your exact head circumference and your stitch and row gauge into the generator, and the pattern will mathematically adjust for a precision fit.
Standard Sizing (Perfect for Gifts!): Making this for someone else and can't measure their head? No problem. Our generator includes a built-in Size Standards Chart (Child through Adult 2XL). Just pick a standard size, plug those numbers in, and click "GENERATE PATTERN"
 
NEEDLES
16" (40cm) circulars (in size for your gauge) and DPNs or your preferred small-circumference needles (like magic loop) of the same size for the crown portion. You will also need a crochet hook or spare circular needle for the provisional cast-on and fold-and-join method.
 
YARN
Weight: Fingering/Sock (1).
Amount: Your exact Main Colour yardage will be mathematically calculated based on your custom size and gauge. Simply enter your measurements into the generator to reveal your custom yarn requirement!
Note: You will also need approximately 10 yards (9 meters) of a contrast yarn (Colour B) for the duplicate stitch maple leaf motif.

Aim for a standard, comfortable fabric—not too stiff, not too loose. Use the needle/hook size recommended on your yarn's label.
