SMART CROCHET PATTERN

Layer up with the Bergen Hooded Bib. Designed to provide the warmth and style of a hoodie without the bulk of a full sweater, this modular piece fits seamlessly under jackets or over crewnecks. It features a distinct trapezoid-shaped crown worked seamlessly from the top down—a construction that creates a tailored, ergonomic fit that naturally follows the curve of the head rather than bunching up.

The unique shaping flows into a peaked bib that is worked in the round, offering essential chest coverage and wind protection. The hood opening features a vertically worked rib encasement with a thick strap drawstring, which results in a structured, architectural silhouette. Whether you are looking to weatherproof your favorite coat or simply add a stylized layer to your outfit, this pattern offers a fresh approach to the classic hood.

⚠️ CURRENTLY IN OPEN BETA ⚠️

This is not a static PDF. This is an interactive, web-based Smart Pattern that uses a custom math engine to recalculate the instructions for your exact gauge and measurements.

Because this design is currently in Open Beta, early access is completely free! Simply add this pattern to your cart and checkout.

I am gathering a final round of community feedback to ensure everything is perfect before the official launch. If you happen to spot a small typo, a minor rounding quirk, or a slightly off stitch count while working through the pattern, just click the "Submit Beta Feedback" buttons inside.

Please note: We need you to always be working from the most up-to-date version during Beta, which is why the PDF download feature is temporarily disabled. You will need an internet connection to view and work from the digital pattern on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Not in a testing mood right now? No problem! You can skip the beta and check back in a few weeks to purchase the finalized, premium version (which will include the PDF download) when it officially launches.
