4mm crochet hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge) & a 3mm hook.
 
YARN REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 220 (230, 240, 250, 260, 270) yards of Worsted Weight (Category 4) yarn. A durable yarn is best suited for this pattern. Hard-wearing wool or a wool blend with nylon for added strength are ideal options.

The sample shown in the photos was crocheted using custom dyed 2-ply Worsted Weight Yarn (Briggs & Little Tuffy). (215yds/113g).
