ONLINE CROCHET PATTERN: A very quick to work up pattern that is perfectly suited for last minute gifts.

SKILL LEVEL: Basic

HOOK: 4 mm crochet hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge)

YARN: Approximately 15-30 yards of worsted weight (#4) cotton yarn.

SIZE: Each scrubbie should measure approximately 3.75"/9.5cm in diameter.

PATTERN NOTES

You should be proficient with magic circles for this pattern, as puff stitches are worked into the magic circle and can be a bit finicky.
If the number comes before the abbreviation, for example: 2hdc, this means stitch the given number into the same stitch. If the number is given afterward, for example: hdc2, this means to half double crochet the given number over subsequent stitches.
Round number is located on the far left column of the instructions.
The right side (RS) and wrong side (WS) of your work are indicated in the far right column of the stitch instructions.
Slip stitch to join rounds.
Fasten off and weave in all ends when you are finished.

SPECIAL STITCHES/EXTRAS

Puff Stitch (puff)

[Yarn over and insert your hk into the indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up to working height ] 2 times. Yarn over and pull through all but 1 loop (2 loops remain on your hook). Yarn over and pull through the remaining 2 loops.

MODIFIED HALF DOUBLE CROCHET (mhdc)

This stitch is identical to a regular half double crochet, the only variable is stitch placement. Yarn over and insert your hook in between the legs of the stitch (rather than through the front and back loops), yarn over and pull through.

*The hook will only be splitting the legs of the stitches on the side that is facing you.
