I did not gauge swatch for this, and used the hook size called for in pattern. I mention this because I ended up with far fewer rows to achieve the ‘L’ size needed for my head. So, while I started this intending to make the largest size, I only did 19 rows on the first side, and 17 rows on the other side. This, based on my gauge/tension, comfortably fits my 22” head. So…take that info for whatever it’s worth!
