How to surface slip stitch
To crochet surface slip stitches (s-slst), draw up your yarn from the wrong side of your work to the right side. Stitch around the stitches as indicated by the pattern your are following or as desired. For this tutorial, the surface slip stitches are worked around the posts of the stitches as follows: Insert your hook around the post from the right side of your work to the wrong side (you will be feeding your working yarn from the wrong side of your work), yarn over and pull through (1 surface slip stitch created).
